Multiple Explosions Reported in Bandar Abbas, Southern Iran

Residents of Bandar Abbas in southern Iran heard a series of eight explosions on July 20, 2026, according to reports from the region.

The explosions were among several incidents reported across Iran and the broader Middle East during this period. Iranian state media noted activity from air defense systems in the vicinity of the Bushehr nuclear power station, while the U.S. Central Command announced the initiation of strikes against Iran.

In other developments, Israeli artillery fire targeted the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, and an airstrike struck the Mashaa district in Mansouri, in the Tyre district of Lebanon.

France's national airline announced the suspension of flights to Dubai and Riyadh on security grounds.
